Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2nd Timothy 2:15

What a blessing it is to study the Word of God and be reassured that our greatest calling is to faithfully serve the Lord. It is easy to get caught up in the mindset of having to get things done, and forget the simple truth. This morning as I prepared to write this I was reminded of the testimony of Andrew, the first disciple called to follow the Lord. There is not much known about Andrew, but what is known is that he left a great impact on many. He was concerned for others, believed in the power of Christ, and that the gospel was for everyone. May we simply continue to be faithful.

What does an ordinary month of ministry look like for us? Well, sometimes that it harder to answer then you think. If any month was ordinary than it was September. We were interrupted a little by weather, but that is to be expected. However, other than that, ministry was full. Between bible studies in Hernandarias, Club de Niños, Sunday School, and Discipleship we were full. Traveling was minimal other than a quick overnight trip to the capital to finalize our residency.

However, we are thankful for the ordinary as we prepare for what the Lord has ahead of us for October and November. The next two months include ladies conference (October 3rd), several opportunities to teach in Bible School, a Marriage Conference in Encarnacion, and leading the study in Hernandarias a few times. We ask for prayer as the schedule is full with many opportunities to be use!

This last month Pastor Juan Carlos Escobar, Missionary Felix Centurion, and Myself had a great meeting about the advancement of a new ministry plan. The ministry will be titled “Hands that Edify” as an extension ministry of Iglesia Jerovia. The goal of this ministry is to reach out to other pastors and churches in Paraguay and offer biblical training through bible conferences, missions conferences and counseling conferences. We still have work to do on refining specific materials, but we are excited to be able to extend a hand to aid many struggling pastors and churches in Paraguay. We ask that you continue to pray for this ministry and upcoming opportunities.

If you have a moment we would invite you to take a look at our video update to see more pictures from things that happened this last month as we celebrated birthdays and Kid’s day in Paraguay.

Thank you for your faithfulness in love and support as we serve the Lord to the people of Paraguay. We are confident that we would not be here today if it was not for all of you responding to the call of God to support us along the way. Now how can we pray for you?

I asked Elijah what he enjoys most about being in Paraguay and he said his Church! Elijah has made so many friends and has no problem putting his Spanish to the test to connect with new people. It is a joy to watch him learn and grow in the Lord and desire to be faithful in service.
